(1) Construction of 100 Taluka Shram Seva Sadan at Tehsil Level in the first phase, the provision of Rs. 950.00 lakh is proposed. Out of these 39 under TASP scheme & 29 under SCSP.

(2) To provide service of Drivers at District level offices for the Vehicles sponsored by UNICEF for protect child labour in Cotton grooving areas six new posts of Driver & fuel and maintenance of these vehicles new item presented, A provision of Rs. 5.77 Lakh is proposed for this new item.

Thus a total provision of Rs. 955.77 Lakh is proposed under this head as New Item.

(1) To purchase of new Vehicle against condemn vehicle, for Dy. Rural Labour Commissioner at Head Office, a provision of Rs. 7.00 Lakh is proposed.

(1) The group insurance Scheme for aver 85.93 lakhs unorganized labour in the age group of 14 - 70 years of the State (SHRAMIK SURAKSHA YOJANA) an amount of Rs. 1,00,000/- is paid in event of accidental death and permanent disabilities and an amount of Rs. 50,000/- for partial disabilities caused due to accident is paid through the " Director of Insurance- Gandhinagar ". The insurance amount is raised to Rs. 1, 00,000/- and Rs. 50,000/- respectively w.e.f. 26 - 10 - 2005. Moreover under this minor head, 150 Rural Workers Welfare Centers expenditure is booked. This scheme is continued in the 11th five year plan (2007 - 2012). The provision of Rs. 1350.09 lakh was made under the minor head LBR - 16, for the year 2010 - 2011. While considering probable expenditure to be made for the insurance premium of Rs. 500/- lakh and number of beneficiaries labourer payment of Rs. 665.00/- lakh , The provision of Rs. 660.00/- lakhs is proposed for the year 2011 – 2012 for insurance premium.

In addition to Rs. 200/- lakh for Shramik Suraksha Yojana the activities like Financial assistance in case of serious disease, first aid boxes etc. are also proposed by the Board under this scheme.

In insurance Scheme which was earlier conducted with help of insurance company are now being run by the Director of Insurance, Gandhinagar w.e.f. 1/4/2008.

Out of the allotment proposed Rs.124.50 lakhs will be allocated to Schedule cast Sub plan (SCSP) i.e. for the benefit of Schedule Cast community ( allocation is 14.18 % of total plan) while Rs. 180.50 lakhs will be allocated to Tribal Ares Sub Plan i.e. for the benefit of Tribal community ( allocation is 20.56 % of total plan ceiling including NGP ).

(1) A New Item for funeral assistance of Rs. 2500/- to family members on occasion of natural death of unorganized rural worker is proposed. .Provision of Rs. 250.00 lakh is proposed for the year 2011-12.

The State Government has stared various schemes for Salt workers since the end 1992, under poverty Alleviation programm for the upliftment of the Salt workers.

Outlay of Rs. 1.00 lakhs was provided for the year 2010 - 2011. The Outlay of Rs. 2.01 lakhs is proposed for the year 2011 - 2012.

The Gujarat Rural Workers Welfare Board is implementing various welfare schemes for the overall development of the unorganized Rural Labour. Under this minor head 3 Rural Workers Welfare Centers expenditure is booked.

An Outlay of Rs. 1.00 lakhs is proposed for the Rehabilitation of Bonded Labours.
