Labour problems have to be viewed in the broad perspective of economic & social development.
Keeping in view the national Labour policy & national priorities, the Eleventh plan (2007 -12) has been formulated. The main principles of this policy are as under. |

| To protect the workers from ‘unfair labour practices. |

| To guarantee the minimum wage. |

| To implement various welfare measures including Social Security. |

An outlay of Rs. 1600.00 lakhs has been provided for the year 2010-11 and the expenditure will be Rs. 800.09 lakhs. An outlay of Rs. 2095.98 lakh is being provided for the year 2011-12. The main principle & policy of 10th five year plan is continued in 11th five year plan (2007-12) |
