Public Private Partnership

In order to encourage the participation of private agencies in imparting vocational training and without increasing any financial burden on the part of Government, 303 private Industrial Training Centres (ITCs) are being run on self-finance basis with the capacity of 17839 seats. Participation of the industries at every stage of designing and implementing training programmes in the ITIs is necessary to ensure that the training imparted in the ITIs is as per requirement of the industries. A good beginning has been made through the constitution of Institute Management Committees (IMCs) under the Centre of Excellence Scheme proposed by Government of India. To establish around 165 IMCs during the year 2008-2009 to encourage Public-Private Partnership in the Industrial Training Sector.

Tribal Area Sub Plan ( New Gujarat Pattern ) :

Under the revised pattern of allocation for TASP, the minimum allocation of funds as per the New Gujarat Pattern provision of Rs. 299.00 lakh is required for the year 2011-2012 which includes the nucleus budget of Rs.10.00 lakh for the TASP.Thus a total amount of Rs. 26846.00 lakh is proposed for the year 2011-2012 including Rs. 14908.50 lakh for ongoing schemes & Rs. 11937.50 lakh for New item for Employment and Training sector.
