Till date all the 18 district offices of Director, Industrial Safety & Health, all the 29 offices of Labour commissionerate were equipped with sufficient numbers of computers to implement IT projects. Now, For the Directorate of Employment & Training, We planned to provide 5 computers to each district level ITIs (have more than 10 clerical employees) and 2 computers to each taluka level ITIs exclusively for the IT activities and e governance purpose.

At present IWDMS project running in at Sachivalay level and 4 HODs’ headquarters. As per the Science and Technology department GR No. IWD-2006- 2102-DST,Dated: 5th October 2006, to extend further the implementation of e-Governance, the dept. has initiate the extension of overreaching project of IWDMS to the all offices of Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar. Dept. also intend to implement IWDMS in all sub offices in phased manner where GSWAN connectivity is available. With suggestions of TCS feasibility report of such offices, estimated hardware requirement will be procured. Dept. also decided to strengthen online monitoring system and to procure hardware for Managed IT Services and Security services solutions at Sachivalay and HODs.

Department has made provision of Rs. 100,00, 000/- for the cost of Computers hardware,other Information Communications Technology peripherals and Video conferencing equipments.

For the extension of IWDMS at Ahmedabad,Gandhinagar and all sub offices where GSWAN connectivity is available, deficit requirement of software for this department and its sub offices including boards will be worked out through feasibility report of TCS. With the suggestions of TCS feasibility report of such offices, estimated software requirement will be procured.

Dept. decided to strengthen online monitoring system and to procure software for Managed IT Services/Security services solutions at Sachivalay and HODs. Dept. also planned to set up enhanced Microsoft System Dynamics, ERP solutions facilities and integrated software for existing applications such as TSP software, Websites and IWDMS. We also planned to set up one control room type monitoring infrastructure at department and HODs level.

Department has made provision of Rs. 120,00,000 for the cost of word processor software, system software, Enterprise search solutions software, Monitoring Solutions software and other Information Communications Technology software.

At present IWDMS project is running in at Sachivalay level ,4 HODs’ headquarters and other sub offices of Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar as per the Science and Technology department GR No. IWD-2006- 2102-DST,Dated: 5th October 2006,. To extend further to the field offices, the implementation of IWDMS , the dept. has initiate the extension of overreaching project of IWDMS in HODs' sub offices situated at districts/taluka places where GSWAN connectivity is available. Department will also madk feasibility report for the same with suggestions of TCS. As per feasibility report of such offices, estimated user charges for the IWDMS will be made available through the provision of Rs. 25,00, 000/-.
