| 4. Financial & Physical Achievements for the 10th five year plan |
| | During the 10th five year plan, outlay of Rs. 2123.53 lacs were allotted and Rs. 2127.00 lacs were spent, which show financial achievement of more then 100%. | | | Total 1806 beneficiaries were paid Rs. 818 lacs under the social security schmes. | | | Total 267 beneficiaries were paid Rs. 283 lacs under the scheme call financial assistance in case of critical illness. | | | Total 4881 number of claims of minimum wages, were settled by virtue of compromise and employer were compelled to pay Rs. 238.00 lacs to all such beneficiaries. | |

| 5. Review of Major component |
| The Gujarat Rural Workers Welfare Board, a 100% Grant in Aid, non statutory board was set up under the supervision of this department. This Board is responsible for implementation of major scheme “Social Security Scheme” under which insurance coverage of Rs. 100,000/- incase of accidental death and Rs. 50,000/- in case of partial disability, is provided to such eligible labourer. While Financial assistance is also provided for medical treatment in case of critical illness like heart surgery, kidney diseases, cancer etc. etc. to such eligible labourers. During the 10th five year plan Total 1806 number of beneficiaries were paid Rs.818 lacs under the social security scheme and Total 267 number of beneficiaries were paid Rs. 283 lacs under the scheme of financial assistance in case of critical illness. |
