Objectives

objectiveTo achieve the objectives ,Rural Labour Commissioner is looking out the machinery from Gandhinagar. One Dy. Rural Labour Commissioner and one Assistant Rural Labour Commissioner help him on the overall administration. One Assistant R.L.C. sits at Surat for south Gujarat. There are 26 G.L.O. at district level and 93 Asstt. G.L.O. at Taluka level 151 class III servants and 104 class IV servants in his brigade.

120 Inspections for G.L.O.and Assistant G.L.O. have been prescribed for every month to check whether statutory minimum rates of wages are paid to the rural labourers and the records are being maintained by the Farmer or not. The G.L.O. is the District Head and he is the overall supervisor examining the duties properly done by the assistant G.L.O. and the staff.
Additional duties have been cast upon this machinery to undertake and carry out the various social security schemes run by the Gujarat Rural Workers Welfare Board. R.L.C. is the member secretary of this Board. This task is simultaneously fulfilled by the machinery respectfully, successive thereby helping the dependents of the deceased rural labourer and also benefiting them advantages like medical help raw-solid quarter, cherish , welfare-centers etc.
