Chapter – 5 : Implementation Of The Interventions And Resources Required

As stated above Government of Gujarat has fixed a smart goal where the state will be free from child Labour by 2010.

In the State of Gujarat, the Labour commissionerate is divided in two parts namely Labour commissioner for Government of Gujarat and Rural Labour Commissioner. Rural Labour Commissioner is having 13 prohibited occupations and processes in rural area. Whereas, those 13 processes and Occupations in urban and rest all the occupations and processes in all the industry rural or urban are within the jurisdiction of Labour Commissioner.

To achieve the above said goal a plan has been prepared covering whole the State, is required a fund of Rs.3,04,00,000/- (Rupees three crore for lacs only). It is noted that fund spare for particular purpose may be use for another to achieve the goal of elimination of child labour. The detail plan of the convergence policy to eliminate child labour from the State is shown in subsequent pages -
