The people of state are law abiding and have in built discipline for complying the laws, in instant case the Labour laws. Mission Improvement of Labour Standards throughout the world is the basic aim of the international Labour Organisation (ILO). To accomplish its task, the ILO uses three complementary methods of work, setting international standards and supervising their observance, extending technical co-operation in the field in the member -state concluding research and collecting and disseminating information relevant to its activities. With this end in view, it adopts at its General Conference, international regulation known as International Labour Standards in the form of Conventions and Recommendations. A 'Convention' is in the nature of a treaty which, if rectified, creates binding international obligations for the country concerned. The ratification of a Convention requires total compliance with all its provisions unless the Convention itself contains provisions to the contrary. On the other hand, a guide to national action may be implemented in parts and to the extent possible. The ILO has adopted, in its seventy sessions held so far, 159 Conventions and 169 Recommendations. These encompass a vast span of subject which inter-alia include: . Basic Human Rights . Employment .
