THE FACTORIES ACT, 1948,

138 / Fac-2000-2053-M(3):- In exercise of the powers conferred
by sub-section (1) (6) & (7) Of Section - 8 of the Factories
Act,1948 (LXIII OF 1948),and in super session of Government Notification,
Labour & Employment Department No:KHR-306-FAC-1097-10066-M(3),dated
31-12-97, the Government of Gujarat hereby appoints the officers
mentioned in Colum-2 of the Schedule appended here to be the Inspectors
of Factories for the areas respectively specified against them in
column-3 of the said schedule.

2.

Act and rules made there under as an Inspector.

Nadiad, so far as they relate to the factories situated in the

18-M(3) :- WHEREAS certain draft rules further to amend the
Gujarat Factories Rules, 1963, were published as required
by Section 115 of the Factories Act, 1948 (LXIII of 1948)
in Gujarat Government Gazette, Part IV-A,/under Government
Notification No: KHR-2001-37-ILO-1099-CM. 18-M(3), dated the
25th Jan., 2001,inviting objections and suggestions from all
persons likely to be affected thereby within forty-five days
from the date of publication of the said notification in the
Official Gazette.
AND WHEREAS no objections
and suggestions have been received from any person in respect
of the said draft notification;
NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise
of the powers conferred by sub-section (2) of Section-34 read
with sub-section (1) of Section -- 115 of the Factories Act,
1948, (LXII of 1948) , the Government of Gujarat hereby, makes
the following rules further to amend the Gujarat Factories
Rules, 1963, namely :-
1. These rules may be called
the Gujarat Factories (Amendment) Rules, 2001.
2. In the Gujarat Factories Rules, 1963, in rule 62, in sub-rule
(1), in the Schedule, for entry (a), the following shall be
substituted, namely :-
" (a) Adult Male - 50
Kilograms."
