Gujarat being one of the leading state of the nation having highest number of chemical factories and in particular Major Accident Hazard class factories, the top mission target for Directorate Industrial Safety & Health is industrial safety.

Safety in industries can not be achieved without live participation of workers. Overall atmosphere of safety can be created by creation of awareness for safety amongst workers, by arranging more and more safety seminars, safety programs and training workshops for safety. Directorate Industrial Safety & Health or Gujarat is carrying out all these activities regularly.

These safety orienting programs are being carried out of different Levels, i.e., from state level of factory and from management level to workers level.

Every year a state level safety seminar is organized with co-operation of Gujarat Safety Council,Vadodara.

Every year, a safety week is celebrated starting from 4th March being a National Safety Day, through out the state. During these days many safety programs are arranged in different industrial estates and in large industries too.

All these safety programs consist of all the popular method of sending message of safety by displaying banners, slogans, posters and arranging competition for safety essays, safety poems and safety slogans etc.
