Constitution of Board

The cloth market & shops labour board  for Ahmedabad is constituted as per the section - 6 of this Act. Constitution of this board is given below :

(1)

Chairman

:

Commissioner of Labour, Gujarat State, Gandhinagar (Ex-Officio)

(2)

Government Representative

:

Deputy Secretary, Labour & Employment Department (Ex-Officio)

(3)

Employers Representative

:

The president of Three main leading employer's Association of the specified area

(4)

Worker's Representative

:

The representative/General  Secretary/President of Active worker's  Associations. (Three)

The time limit of Board is fixed three years from the date of publication of Notification that is notified from time to time.

Administrative Structure

The administrative structure of Board is decided in General Assembly on 23-12-1980 that given as under :

At present one Senior Clerk and one Peon are performing their duty out of the above said administrative structure.

Further it is to mention that at present the following administrative arrangement is made

As a Chairman of Board honorary services of the Commissioner of Labour are available.

As a Secretary of the Board Govt. Labour Officer is holding  honorary additional charge.

The duties of  Inspector of the Board are entrusted to two Junior Clerks of the Office of the Labour Commissioner on Loan Service.

The duties of Junior Clerk of the Board are entrusted to one Junior Clerk of the Office of the Labour Commissioner on Loan Service.
